(Almost) free mind-mapping software
The current (April 2007, no 141) edition of PC Advisor (DVD edition), which costs £4.99, has a cover DVD which includes Mind Genius Home edition (v1.1, 2003). Unfortunately the on-line registration process is tortuous, but it is probably still worthwhile.
The DVD also includes the complete OpenOffice.org office suite, v2.1. You can download that for free from www.openoffice.org but as you might expect it takes a while even on broadband. Read the review in the magazine and the (very favourable) comparison with MS Office 2007. 15:25
